A New Pedagogical Model for Teaching English for Specific Purposes: Collaborative Educational Project

Raising young professionals is one of the main goals ESP teachers across globe, but in today’s rapidly changing world it complicated by need to adapt learners a demanding international working environment that puts heavy pressure on human resources. English communication skills are now sought employers, so, worldwide help future graduates meet such high expectations. However, practice has shown options for improvement within national educational systems limited. In artificially bilingual classrooms progress requires cooperation and networking practitioners from different countries. This article presents results first stage an experimental collaborative project, which involved students two state universities Russia Kazakhstan. It describes beginning implementing relatively new pedagogical model teaching through designing virtual crossborder learning simulating certain real-life professional situations. The aim paper analyze initial impact this developing soft communicative competence non-linguistic majors. authors used comparative analysis data obtained formal structured questionnaires. statistical significance was measured F-test paired Student’s t-test suggest extending beyond borders helps shift purely academic settings real scenarios, thus students’ competence, contributing their socialization, creating sufficient level stress appeal motivation while avoiding discouragement.
